Reviews and Ratings
My stay at The Belfry was nice, nothing exceptional but very clean and modern. The rooms were large and spacious, and I loved being close to the 1st tee of The Brabazon. The service was attentive throughout, from the bar area to the Ryder Grill, but at times a little overbearing when it came to payments. The location wasn't the easiest, but clean and very quiet, perfect for our family reunion in the Ryder room. Dining was hit or miss, better during non-busy times but overcrowded on busy days. Despite some hiccups, the facilities were decent overall.
The hotel had a lovely view with no noise throughout the day. The breakfast was delightful, but the water in the shower took a long time to drain, needing constant attention to avoid overflow. Unfortunately, I was startled by an unexpected call about my payment, causing upset. The room was just basic, quite hot, and uncomfortable for sleep.
The hotel is conveniently located for our stop between Scotland and Sussex. The rooms were tired and dated, with poor ventilation and lots of flies and wasps, making it uncomfortable. The service was excellent, but being seated next to loud guests on a night out was not ideal. The dining options were basic and overpriced. The hotel needs renovations to improve the overall experience.
